Call For Papers—Inaugural Issue

A sponsored journal of the Academy of Guru Granth Studies, Sikh Studies is a refereed, multidisciplinary, open access academic journal offering a forum for scholarly and creative engagement with current perspectives on Sikh Religion, history, culture, literature, and politics. Published quarterly, Sikh Studies is housed in the Department of English, University of North Texas.

We are now accepting submissions for our inaugural issue to be published in January 2011. Please submit your original works that match any aspect the journal’s mission and focus:

  • To provide rapid communication of research in Sikh studies.
  • To promote critical inquiry into the cultural, philosophical, religious, historical and political developments within Sikhism.
  • To define a global scholarly space for Sikhs and Sikhism and promote Inter-religious and intra-religious engagement in Sikh Studies.
  • To explore and interpret New Age perspectives of Sikh doctrines, Gurmat Music, and relevance of hymns of the Guru Granth for the civil society.

Interested authors can submit their works directly through the journal’s website. Please create an account with the journal and submit your work to an appropriate section.
